"Casey is one of 2 middle schools in Boulder Valley that has the AVID program. AVID, which stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination, is a college readiness program designed to help students develop the skills they need to be successful in college. AVID is an elective class at Casey for 7th and 8th grade students. Students are typically recommended for the class in 6th or 7th grade by their teachers, or they may self-nominate themselves if they wish to be considered. An application must be completed and candidates will be interviewed by members of our AVID site team to determine if they are a good fit for the class."
