AVID is an internationally recognized college/career prep program.

At Casey we offer the AVID course to selected 7th & 8th graders. 

What does being in AVID mean for your child? They will receive instruction focusing on WICOR strategies. WICOR stands for Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. AVID teachers focus on one or more of these areas in every lesson to ensure all students in the class have access to high-level learning, thinking, and engagement that will help them be ready for the challenges of high school, college, career and beyond.
