Robotics Club

When: Thursday's after school from 3:45pm-4:40pm

We are working on building robots to complete specific tasks - like sorting objects, navigate a maze, or get from one side of a gap to the other by building a bridge. We emphasize not only the hardware side (building the actual robot using robotics kits) but also the software side (using code to program the robot to use sensors and motors to complete the tasks).

We are planning on doing a "robot olympics" where each team can compete in 4 events (teams can pick any number of events to compete in): 

Object sorting - judged on speed and accuracy

Gap clearing - judged on who can cross the largest gap between two tables

Pole climbing - judged on who can go highest up a mop handle

Obstacle course/maze - judged on who can finish the course the fastest
